Firstly,  Welcome to Hollinswood Primary School & Nursery. We are very happy to have you and your family join our school.

Children will enter our school either at the start of the academic year in our Reception classes, or through the In-Year Transfer process. See Telford & Wrekin Council Admissions page for further information.

All applications for school places at Hollinswood Primary School & Nursery (From Reception to Year 6) must be made though the Admissions Portal

For ALL Reception Children Starting In September:

Invitations will be sent out for children and parents to attend a number of "Stay and Play" sessions in July. Children will also get the chance to attend their New Class Morning and stay for lunch.

A parent meeting where parents will find out their child's class and teacher will also be held in June/July. At the meeting important information such as uniform, lunch, attendance and admission arrangements will be given. Parents will also be told about the daily routines in the Reception classes. We will also give you information around other professionals linked to our school such as our School Nurse, Education Welfare Officer (EWO) and our After School Club provider, PortalKids and ABC Nursery.

For Children Entering School Through The In-Year Transfer Process (mid-year):

When a place is offered by Telford and Wrekin Admissions Team, Parents will be invited to attend a meeting with the School Business Manager where all key information is given to support the smooth induction of your child.  A copy of your child's birth certificate or passport will be needed for this meeting.

All children entering our school In-Year (Mid year) will be required to attend an induction session before starting.  They will join their new class for a short session whilst the parent attends the meeting with the School Business Manager. A start date will be agreed at this meeting.
