On Monday 11th July the eCadet held their first (but maybe not last!) eCadet Day. Pupils, parents, staff, governors and visitors took part in lessons and learnt more about how to keep safe online. The children were lucky enough to meet Henry, the founder of eCadets, who came to visit the school and find out about what the children had been doing. Henry also did some filming during the day and is putting together a short video about our school which may feature on the eCadets website (ecadet.zone)
The eCadets (two from each class from Y2 to Y6) planned and taught the e-safety lessons themselves. They have had a lot of positive feedback:
‘Thank you for this morning! It was wonderful to see the children so engrossed in their e safety work!
I was very impressed by their knowledge and understanding of the tasks set them and their ability to share their ideas with their peers and teachers. Tamsins class's were amazing with their ideas!’
Jenny Evans – Governor
‘Thank you for your hardwork behind the scenes to make eCadet day the success it was. I am still talking about the children and their awareness of the internet which was absolutely incredible.’
Charmaine Woolley |Business, Rural and Cyber Crime Coordinator| |West Mercia Police
'It was my pleasure to attend your eCadet day today. It was a great event and well done for arranging it all. Your team of eCadets are full credit to you, the school and the eCadet programme.'
Henry Platten - Founder of eCadets
